Good For Ewe is heading to Virginia! This will be our first year at Shenandoah and we'll be vending (with lots of show specials!) on Saturday and Sunday and teaching Fair Isle & Steeking on Friday! Students of Paige's will receive a voucher for the Good For Ewe booth.
Join us for big techniques in tiny knitting! In part 1 of the class, we'll be working through 2 different top-down socks featuring 2 ways to start your socks, 2 kinds of heels and 2 kinds of toes. You'll need to register through Starstruck Cat Studio and come with your homework ready so we can jump right into the techniques.
Support two small Indy-area businesses for Small Business Saturday! Paige will be at Village Yarn Company all day with all of Good For Ewe's yarns and patterns and a few of the new Christmas Clothesline kits! Hope to see you there!
Part of the the class is all about mittens! You'll need to have your homework done so we can jump right into the thumb increase and leave plenty of time to get through the tricky parts.
If there's extra time, we can review any sock technique questions from Part 1.
It's Paige's favorite yarn event of the year!
(Re)Treat yourself to this event! This will be the 7th Annual Wooly Weekend, but with a new location. This year, the retreat will be held at Santa's Lodge (part of Holiday World) in Santa Claus, Indiana.
There will be classes (stay tuned for more info), shopping with assorted vendors and everything you'll need for an educational, relaxing and very social weekend.
Contact Melissa at Serendipity Fibers (Huntingburg, IN) or Paige with Good For Ewe for more information, but we'll update here as soon as we know more than the date and location.
Join us for our first year at The Wool Gathering at Young's Dairy Farm! We will have some crazy deals as we continue our inventory stash-down to make room for Fall products!
Here's a little more information on the gathering!
Join us for part 1 of Cable Me This- a cabled hat with a twist! This hat is modular, meaning the different parts of it are knitted on to each other. It's a great introduction to cabling or picking up stitches. The yarn is included in the class costs, but you'll need to bring your size 6 needles (24" circular or dpns)

Don't miss our first appearance at The Wool and the Floss! Paige will be there with all of our yarns and colors, and lots of our new mini-skein and shawl kits too! Hope to catch you at this stop on the crawl!
Tips, techniques and fibery companionship! We'll be working on our Vicissitude Shawl but come with whatever project you feel like bringing.
After the last clue is released, stop by Village Yarn Company to hang out and enjoy the company of other knitters! Paige will be there to oooh and ahhhh over your progress, answer any questions or cheer you on as needed!
Paige will be offering a new sort of Fair Isle class at Serendipity Fibers! This class doesn't teach a specific pattern, it's more of a workshop in Fair Isle technique and design. The project we'll use for the class is a hat, but what it looks like is entirely up to you!
Class is $25 and includes a skein of your main color. Accent colors will be provided in the class. You also get a $5 voucher to use at the Good For Ewe trunk show that weekend! There is homework for the class (you'll need to cast on, knit your ribbing and 3 plain rows in your main color before coming) to keep the lesson moving quickly. We'll be working in Claddagh, a sport weight yarn.
Join us at Starstruck for a help session or just hanging out with fellow crafters. Stop on by for shawl help with any clue or just say hi!
The Vicissitude Shawl Summer Knit-Together kicks off on Friday, June 22nd and you can catch Paige (the designer) at Village Yarn Company in Zionsville to get started, ask questions or just come and enjoy the company of other crafters. Hope to see you there!
Want to learn new techniques? Feel like joining up with others at your local yarn shop over a shared summer shawl project? We've got you covered!
Paige Shipley of Good For Ewe has designed a shawlette that will be published in pieces for 5 Fridays, starting on June 22nd. All you need to get started is your shawl kit (includes yarn and a sticker in an organza bag, as well as a link to download the pattern each Friday).
Shawl kits are available for $42 at the following shops (more to be added as shops order kits):
Village Yarn Company (Zionsville, IN)
Willowe's Basketry & Yarn Haus (Greenfield, IN)
Always in Stitches (Noblesville, IN)
Hoosier Hills Fiber Festival- Starstruck Cat booth (June 1st & 2nd)
The Good For Ewe girl will not be attending Hoosier Hills in person this year, but don't worry- Susan at Starstruck Cat Studio has you covered! She'll have oodles of our hot new mini-skein kits (plus a free pattern!) and you can pick up your Vicissitude Shawl kit before the Knit-Together starts on June 22nd.
*I think you can find the Starstruck booth right across from the welcome station.
Join us for an introduction to Fair Isle at a new-to-us location, Lion and Lamb Yarn Boutique!
We will be using a Good For Ewe pattern called Lumberjack and Lumber Jill ( https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lumber-jack--lumber-jill ) and jumping right in to stranded colorwork.
Be sure to stop by the Lion and Lamb Yarn Boutique beforehand so you can order your kit and start your homework! (It isn't much, but you'll need to have it finished before the class starts).
Stop by the Lion and Lamb for a trunk show! Paige will be there with all of the Good For Ewe yarns and colors- and even a few new ones! We will also have the big book of patterns and knitted and crocheted samples in all the yarns. Paige will be happy to introduce you to your next project!
Good For Ewe and Something New! We will be attending Harvest Days, an SCA event as a merchant. We will have the usual yarns to sell and a collection of Paige's hand-knitted lace and other items sale.
